Turns out that not only did they find patients felt shoes they liked felt like they fit better (no surprise to any pedorthist!), but highlights the use of a concept called Motivational Interviewing which is detailed in another article in this issue. While the article references podiatrists throughout because the research was conducted in Great Britain where there are very few pedorthist, it is quite easy to see that, in this country, the information and suggestions are directly applicable to our practices every day.
